I loved the stunning location in the mountains, away from tourist resorts. The views of the mountains from the, unfortunately, unnamed hotel pool and front of the building are breathtaking. Additionally, the area is peaceful and full of greenery. There are many options for walks that start from the hotel, and the staff provided good recommendations. Transportation was easy with a car, and there were many shops and cafes nearby. The staff was friendly, and Gianna gave us lots of information on what to do in the area.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The room at Villa Frati Gorge was amazing! I loved how cozy and comfortable it felt, like a home away from home. The living room with the sofa was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the dining area was great for enjoying them. The private bathroom with the hot tub was a luxurious touch, and the free toiletries were a nice bonus. the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the tile/marble floor in the apartment. It was a bit cold and slippery, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Great location, close to the beach and easily accessible by car. The apartment was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The pool and garden were both beautiful and well-maintained. The views from the apartment were also very nice, with a lovely mountain backdrop.

The internet connection was unstable and very slow, which was frustrating when trying to plan activities for the day. the apartment itself was quite noisy, with thin walls and a lot of outside noise making it difficult to sleep at night.

Our Christmas stay was fantastic! the apartment was well equipped and spacious. the views from the balconies were breathtaking and the local host was very welcoming and helpful. the location was perfect, just a short drive away from stunning beaches and picturesque hills. We enjoyed our walks and we were delighted to find a panini maker in the kitchen, perfect for a quick and delicious lunch. the wifi was fast and reliable, allowing us to stay connected with our family and friends back home.

this was not a big issue as we had rented a car, which we found to be essential for getting around the area.

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the tourist resorts and experience the real Crete, this is the perfect place for you. the location of the hotel is just breathtaking; you can enjoy the stunning views of the mountains and the island's interior. You can easily reach a shop or a cafe in the centre of the island than on the coast, and there are several gorgeous beaches nearby, including the beautiful Preveli beach. the apartments are spacious and well-equipped, and the pool is perfect for relaxation.

One minor downside to the hotel is the lack of eating options within walking distance.
